Augmented Mentality with SELF-CARE

Augmentated Distraction

Innovations in visual and audio technology have brought about high definition, immersive experiences that provide hyperstimulation of the senses, and intense experiences. By and large, these innovations are geared towards the entertainment industries, not intended for personal development in the traditional sense. 

Video games and augmented reality content simulates being transported to another world where the traveler can attempt to become heroic and overcome challenges in a relatively safe way to develop skills and enjoy the dopamine and serotonin rush of “winning.” At best, I would argue that the confidence that comes from mastering the skills of games can at best transfer toward gaming relationships, matrixed organizations, or yourself as a system.

Make a Decision to Focus

In the real game of life, there are primarily 5 possibilities:

  1. Be the Hero: The object being to live life to the fullest with an active approach
  2. Be the Anti-Hero: Become a success story while with a passive approach
  3. Check Out and Live On the Fringes of Society
  4. Become a Follower and Surrender your Mind to a Higher Authority
  5. Adopt Any of the Approaches mentioned According to Situation

At a subconscious level, the 5th possibility is the only real option. Subconsciously, we see reality without judgment or fixation of personality, societal conditioning, or delusions. When we are connected with the benefit of this point of view, we can accept the best approach moment to moment to ensure survival without the interference of our false self. Yet, there is an issue of going through life as an opportunistic person with no real identity.

A Crucial Understanding

We do not live in a vacuum. Our name, how we are shaped, nourished and formed into an individual with the ability to think in a structured way, and reason comes as a consequence of living in a society that enables us to live with purpose. Unless we were raised in the wild by animals, we are not a product of our own manufacture. 

Furthermore, we are endowed with unique talents and capabilities that create value when we apply them not only for our betterment but also as a service for others. Fulfillment can come from awakening our inner potential, but not expressing these talents outside of our imagination limits that sense of fulfillment.

The answer is to be aware of what our intuition is telling us in terms of patterns of experience and augment our conscious minds. Recognizing fear, the manipulation of others, wishful thinking, and subliminal programming, we can augment our mentality. This ideal state of mind is a result of practice. Practice Journaling and use your time and efforts towards all of your relationships as a means to sharpen your mind through self-awareness.

Why SELF-CARE 

Augmenting your mentality is a life long practice. By augmenting your mentality, you will recognize inconsistencies between your behavior, thinking, and tension that comes from living according to an acquired thought process that is not really yours. This happens when you identify the goals associated with your efforts and visualizing the best result you expect from your efforts. 

By using your time to your advantage and becoming focused on how you apply your talents and thinking, you augment your self-esteem and the value you place on your attention. Solving relationship challenges increases your self-respect and the trust people place in you. Being less self-conscious and distracted, you become more present at the moment.
